During my recent stay at Geckos Rest in Newquay, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly owners, reminiscent of the hospitality I cherish back home in the Maldives. The classic king room boasted a charming bay window that offered stunning views of Newquay town and the sea-perfect for those sunrise coffee moments with friends. Breakfast was a delightful spread of locally sourced Cornish produce; who knew I could get such a hearty meal that felt like a cozy hug? The guest lounge was a delightful spot to unwind, with views that inspire daydreams of beach days ahead. Being a travel consultant, I appreciate thoughtfully curated spaces, and Geckos Rest has successfully blended comfort with a homey feel. The cleanliness of our room was impeccable, and with free WiFi, we were able to plan our little Cornwall adventures with ease. A huge shoutout to John for his local recommendations, making our stay genuinely memorable! If you're looking for hospitality that feels like family, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!
